Los Angeles billionaire A. Jerrold “Jerry" Perenchio, a prominent art collector, movie producer and the former chairman of Univision Communications, has died at 86, his family announced today. As a live-events promoter in the 1970s, Perenchio staged the historic first clash of heavyweight boxers Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, then orchestrated the “Battle of the Sexes” tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs.
